Planning & Zoning Committee - Michael Masson
A committee of directors and community residents review a variety of applications for redevelopment, rezoning, subdividing and street development in the Fairfield area, and hear and record public input on these matters. Environment Committee - edward Pullman

Fund Development Committee
The FGCA is looking for community members to participate in the fund development committee. Committee members overlook and steer the new integrated fund development program seeking to build a sustainable future for the community association. No expertise required. Promoting community membership, engaging the neighbourhood and raising the organization’s profile are just some of the activities involved in the fund development committee activities. Want to join? The Streetlife Committee encourages, supports, and oversees neighbour-driven activities and initiatives at the street, neighbourhood and community-wide level to create a safer, healthier, greener community in the Fairfield / Gonzales area.Objectives:
Specifically, the Streetlife Committee aims to achieve the following objectives, working with other FGCA committees and other organizations (businesses, non-profits, schools, PACs, churches, etc.) as appropriate:
- Strengthened sense of community, through block parties, potlucks, seasonal celebrations, and other social activities;
- Joint stewardship of common areas, for example boulevard gardening, community gardening, and creation of amenities such as public art and benches;
- Improved safety, for example through traffic calming and crime prevention programs;
- Improved security and resiliency, through increased local food production, sharing among neighbours, disaster preparedness, etc.;
- Reduced carbon impact, through increased use of alternative transportation (cycling, transit, car sharing, walking, etc.) local purchasing;
- Improved access to affordable and sustainable housing, through promoting small-suite ‘eco-villas’, co-ops, and other strategies;
- Expanded opportunities for youth, such as recreation, art and entrepreneurship.

Organizational Committees
Executive Committee
Chaired by the board chair and comprised of the past chair, vice chair, secretary, treasurer, and executive director. The committee meets monthly to ensure monitoring and support of the operation of the association, especially on issues arising between scheduled board meetings.
