Facility Descriptions & Rates

The Fairfield Gonzales Community Association is the perfect location to host a meeting, workshop, special event, family function, dance, fundraiser or dinner. Availability depends on current program scheduling. Please call 250-382-4604 for more informaiton. Tables and Chairs are included with all rentals. A minimun 2 hour rate applies. Multiple-booking discounts may be considered.

  • Fairfield Community Place
    Location map The Place is located at 1330 Fairfield Road and includes several multi-purpose rental spaces - OSC Room, Family Room & Portable.

Garry Oak Room

Garry Oak Room

Size: Approximate dimensions are 1400 square feet. 80 people can be seated for a dinner or 100 maximum for a standing event.
Availibility: weekends and Thursday, Friday, Saturday, Sunday evenings. Daytime is program dependant.
Description: This is an open, multi-purpose room with large windows. Foyer and washrooms offer wheel chair accessibility and baby change station. Located adjacent to the Sir James Douglas School, the main door access is from 1335 Thurlow Road. Garry Oak Room
Available equipment: 80 Chairs, 15 tables, TV/DVD/CD/MP3 Player, Sound System & microphones (all included in rental)
Epson Digital Projector ($50 / rental). Clients are responsible for renting cups, dishes and silverware from a catering company or may bring their own. Please- no helium ballons- they often escape and set off the security alarm when they eventually come down.

 

Corinne's Kitchen

Corrine's Kitchen

Size: This is a 900 sq. ft. commercial kitchen with 15 person seating around a large, stainless steel counter.
Availibility: most evenings, daytime bookings are program dependant
Description: Gas grill and convection oven, electric cooktop, commercial fridge and sanitizer. It is accessed through shared foyer with the Garry Oak Room with a serving window into the Garry Oak Room.

 

RATES + 5% GST
a non-refundable deposit equal to $25.00 for each day booked is required before firming up the contract. Payment per booking is due one week before the date.

$40/hr 2 - 3 hours
$35/hr 4 - 5 hours
$200 daily rate (6+ hours)

$30/hr 2 - 3 hours
$25/hr 4 - 5 hours
$150 daily rate (6+ hours)

 

Family Room

Size: Suitable for small gatherings of 20 people
Availibility: Evenings after 6pm and weekends
Description: This room has a small living room type corner and adjustable table. Large windows face west. This is a bright comfortable room.

 

 

 

Out of School Care Room

Size: Suitable for gatherings of 30 people
Availibility: Evenings after 6pm and weekends
Description: The large room that we use for OSC faces south making it a very sunny and warm meeting place. There are tables and chairs, a small living room corner and a sink.

 

 

 

Our Other Place (The Portable)

Size: Suitable for gatherings of 25 people
Availibility: Weekday mornings until 2:30 pm & evenings after 6pm and anytime weekends.
Description:
This self-contained space is perfect for meetings, workshops or rehersal space. The Portable is completely accessible including washroom facilities. Windows let light in from two sides overlooking Porter Park.

RATES + 5% GST
a non-refundable deposit equal to $25.00 for each day booked is required before firming up the contract. Payment per booking is due one week before the date.

$30/hr 2 - 3 hours
$25/hr 4 - 5 hours
$150 daily rate (6+ hours)
$290 2 day weekend

the following equipment is available free of charge upon request:

  • 30" x 60" lightweight portable tables
  • Comfortable folding chairs
  • TV/VCR/DVD player - 27" colour flat screen TV
  • Sound System (only in GOR) Ipod/laptop(cables suppled)/CD/microphones,
    a portable CD player is available for other rooms
  • Over head projector and screen
  • Flip chart stands -( paper and markers responsibility of renters )

Also available for a fee:

  • Epson Digital Projector $50/per rental USB/Monitor/Video/ S-video inputs
