FEES

Fees cover the cost of transportation and processing of materials, with a portion of the revenue donated back to the Fairfield Gonzales Community Association.

The fee for plastics is based mainly on the quantity of plastic, but also on the type (some are more difficult and costly to process). The fees for recycling electronics depend on whether they are part of the provincial stewardship program . For those that are part of the program, there is a nominal handling fee; for other objects (including household batteries), the cost of recycling is by weight.
